Sonoma County Travel Pro training program launches

Morristown, NJ, July 15, 2019

SONOMA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA — Sonoma County Tourism recently launched its first-ever training platform that will certify travel professionals as Sonoma County destination experts.

Created in coordination with TravPro Mobile [travpromobile.com], the new Sonoma County Travel Pro training and sales enablement program takes travel advisors through an introductory course to “all things Sonoma Wine Country,” with the idea they will be better prepared to share, sell, and promote the destination to their clients.

The platform is both desktop and mobile-friendly and is free to all agents who register.

“We’re delighted to partner with TravPro for the development and launch of our innovative industry training program,” said Deleyse Langdale, Sonoma County Tourism’s vice president, global tourism development. “In addition to becoming a certified Travel Pro, the ‘always-on’ platform gives travel agents access to an online tool kit, plus it provides targeted content that can be shared directly with their customers. We see this as a win-win on many levels.”

The program includes both an advisor-training and client-facing mode. This new and improved sales experience is a resource for advisors who want to learn, and sell, more easily.

Training mode allows the advisors to take information learned in the course, “Essentials and Discovering Sonoma County,” and to share the unique experiences with clients. With the mobile app, advisors can now train offline without Wi-Fi or cell service.

The Toolkit and Promote tabs contain a blend of product information, maps, shareable images, trade events, and links to a full list of other practical information — all built specifically to help advisors sell Sonoma County with confidence. A comprehensive directory of accommodations, attractions, activities, and events is also accessible in the program. This program is available for laptop, tablet, and smartphone.

“We are very proud to work with our friends at Sonoma County. This is a remarkable destination and we’re happy to bring it to life for the travel advisors to help improve their knowledge and sales for years to come,” said Jonathan Cooper, founder and CEO, TravPRO Mobile.
